New Terminal
We are excited to announce that groundbreaking has officially taken place for the new Forrest "Frosty" Jones Terminal at Huntingburg Regional Airport. Named in honor of local aviation pioneer Frosty Jones, the new terminal marks a significant milestone in the airport's nearly 90-year history and represents a major step forward for our community.
This project, supported by an unprecedented $3.3 million grant from the Federal Aviation Administration, highlights remarkable collaboration at the local, state, and federal levels. Key local contributions include substantial funding from Dubois County, with an additional $500,000 commitment and a generous $1 million loan. Notably, over half of the contractors involved are based right here in Dubois County, underlining our dedication to local engagement and economic growth.
With continued support from community partners and advocates, the Frosty Jones Terminal will become a welcoming gateway that proudly reflects the pride, history, and vision of Dubois County.
